Kwang Hur Woodbridge murder suspects arrested
Prince William County police have arrested three suspects in connection with the slaying of a 75-year-old man in Woodbridge.
Police arrested Jung Min Jun, 58, Ho Young Jun, 26, and Jung Ok Jun, 56, for the killing of Kwang Hur, who was found dead in an apartment at the River Run senior center in the 13900 block of Hedgewood Drive on Sept. 1.
All three suspects are from New York. Police said they are relatives of Hur and would have benefited from a $1 million life insurance policy on the victim.
Residents of the senior living center are relieved at the news
“I'm just relieved it wasn't a random killing,” said neighbor Linda Stanfield.
Police say the three people charged are all relatives of Hur.
The suspects are Hur's brother and sister-in-law and one of his nephews. The case broke when immigration agents in New York received a tip. One of the suspects tried to board a flight to China, officials say.
Kwang Hur found her husband’s body on the floor of their apartment at 11:30 on the night of September 1st. Police say he had been strangled to death.
“I'm relieved that it's over now we can go back to our lives,” said Doug Stanfield.
