Phillip Edward Wise stabbed to death in Columbia
A man was stabbed to death in Columbia Tuesday, Howard County police said.
About 4:30 p.m., police received a call of a man bleeding in a parking lot of an apartment building in the 5500 block of Harper's Farm Road.
The caller said he was inside an apartment when he heard his car alarm activated. When he went outside to check the car, he found a man lying near it.
Investigators believe the victim may have collapsed against the car, setting off the alarm.
The man was identified as Phillip Edward Wise, 46, of no fixed address. He was pronounced dead after being transported to Howard County General Hospital with stab wounds.
Howard County detectives are investigating and offering a $5,000 reward. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-313-STOP.
