Missing Aruba woman: Authorities release new photo
September 3, 2011 - 02:31 pm
ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AP) - Prosecutors in Aruba are releasing a new photograph in hopes of finding more witnesses in the case of a missing American tourist.
The photo from a security camera video shows a small white car, a Hyundai Getz.
A Friday statement from the prosecutors office says the driver or passengers may have seen the missing woman or the suspect in her presumed death. It says the photo was taken near where Gary Giordano of Gaithersburg, Maryland, says Robyn Gardner was swept out to sea while they snorkeling Aug. 2.
A judge ordered Giordano detained Wednesday for at least 60 more days while prosecutors seek evidence against him. His lawyer says he denies committing any crime and has appealed the ruling.
