Muslims, Christians come together for interfaith service

Muslims and Christians gathered together Sunday at an interfaith worship service at the Rock Spring Congregational United Church of Christ in Virginia.

The church designated the 10th anniversary of September 11 as World Peace Sunday and invited the Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center in Falls Church to join. Imam Johari Abdul-Malik, the Director of Outreach at Dar Al-Hijrah, will be participating in the service, as will other members of the mosque.

The interfaith service will focus on memory, resilience and hope.

After the service, members are invited to participate together in the 9/11 Unity Walk in D.C.
