Man killed in hit-and-run in College Park
Police are looking for a red Honda they believe was involved in a fatal hit-and-run in College Park early Sunday.
About 3:25 a.m., police responded to a call of a body in the middle of the road near the intersection of University Blvd and Baltimore Avenue, according to police Prince George's Police Dept. officials.
The body was of a man. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have identified the man but have not yet released his name.
The man was in the westbound lane when he was struck, said Corporal Larry Johnson.
Debris left at the scene indicated the car was a red Honda Civic with damage to the left front side.
The road, which runs two lanes in each direction, does not have sidewalks and was not pedestrian friendly.
The accident was at the end of the exit ramp from Route 1.
