A Fairfax County man is left with just one dog tonight, after his other dog was shot and killed by animal control.

The dog was known in the neighborhood for running around without a leash and tonight feelings are mixed on whether or not the dog should have been killed.

ABC7's Pamela Brown talked with neighbors and even the mailman today.

The dog named Crash was well known and, for the most part, a well-liked dog in this neighborhood.

Many say he was more of a gentle giant that anything, but they admit those who weren't familiar with him may think he posed a threat because of his breed.
