Pedestrian hit by taxicab in Northwest

D.C. police reports a pedestrian was struck by a taxicab in Northwest.

The female was in a crosswalk in the 1331 Pennsylvania Avenue at the time of the accident, authorities say.

She appears to be severely injured and has been taken to George Washington Hospital for treatment.

The investigation is ongoing.
