Pedestrian struck, killed in Hyattsville

A pedestrian was fatally struck in Md. early Saturday morning, police said.
About 3:35 a.m., a man was hit in the 2000 block of University Blvd., according to a Prince George's Police public information officer.
The man, 34 year-old Manuel Mendoza, died from his injuries.
Police announced on Monday that authorities arrested 18 year-old Juan Josua in connection with the incident.
He has been charged with second degree murder and manslaughter.
