Prince George's Police report crime drop
September 28, 2011 - 12:14 pm
Prince George’s County Police report a year-to-date 9 percent drop in all categories of crime. That follows crime stats in 2010, which hit 30 year lows.
Prince George’s County police credits a summer-long initiative which targeted five challenged communities. There was stepped up enforcement as well as an effort to reach out to known repeat offenders and offer services which might break the cycle of crime.
The communities are Langley Park, Riverdale, Suitland, Hillcrest Heights, and Glassmanor.
