Redskins gearing up for Monday Night Football
For the first time since Sunday's 22 to 21 win over the Cardinals, the Redskins hit the practice field. But, today wasn't any ordinary run through, with a trip to the lone star state looming on the horizon.
"I grew up in Virginia, so I don't like those guys," D'Angelo Hall said.
"Without that star, it's almost like it ain't football," Santana Moss said.
The 2-0 Skins sit atop the NFC East, but the Cowboys are narrowly favored in Monday Night's game. However, the Dallas roster may look a little different this week. Miles Austin is dealing with a hamstring injury, Dez Bryant is day-to-day, and Tony Romo is nursing a cracked rib and punctured lung.
"I want to get a chance and put a helmet on whatever's hurt," Hall said. "if Romo's ribs, I'm going to be asking for some corner blitzes. If I know Felix Jones's shoulder is hurt, I'm not going to try to cut him, I’m definitely going to hit him up high. If you know what's wrong with an opponent, you're going to try target in on that."
New Redskin Stephen Bowen will face his former team; and, when it comes to this storied rivalry, the players know what's at stake.
"If you can't get up for this game right here, something's wrong with you," Hall said. "You're probably in the wrong lockerroom."
