REMEMBER THIS, EDDIE?: Per Rolling Stone, “Pearl Jam Twenty documentary director Cameron Crowe has been friends with the members of Pearl Jam since they all lived in Seattle in the 1980s – which proved useful when he went looking for artifacts and stories that even the band had forgotten. For a present-day interview with Eddie Vedder in the film, Crowe dug up the original "Mama-Son" cassette, which contained the instrumental demos on which he had to record lyrics and vocals all those years ago to audition for the role as lead singer (the band was briefly called Mookie Blaylock). Vedder notices his old phone number on it.” http://bit.ly/mYU7SX

AND R2D2, TOO? OOPS: Per the L.A. Times, “Steven Spielberg was greeted by a standing ovation Monday night at the “Raiders of the Lost Ark” 30th anniversary screening, hosted by Hero Complex at L.A. Live. The film’s star, Indiana Jones actor Harrison Ford, made a surprise appearance, interrupting Spielberg during the Q&A portion of the event, then joining him onstage. It’s the first time the pair have spoken about the film together in public, Spielberg said.” http://lat.ms/r3Nyfl

DEPP’S FANGS: Per People, “A face only a mother could love? Looking like the love child of Willy Wonka and Sweeney Todd's Mrs. Lovett, as styled by Edward Scissorhands, Johnny Depp slinks into his latest role, as 200-year-old vampire Barnabas Collins, shown here on the U.K. set of the film adaptation of the Gothic 1966-71 afternoon TV soap, Dark Shadows.” http://bit.ly/nm2yhr

YOU BUY THIS?: Per Access Hollywood, “Jermaine Jackson’s new book, “You Are Not Alone: Michael, Through a Brother’s Eyes,” is a look at his late brother Michael’s rise to fame and tragic death. In a new interview, Jermaine gave Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush a preview of the candid memoir where he revealed that his brother was supposed to be in The World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. “My mother had stayed up with him all the way until four in the morning and he just slept; he missed his appointments, which was great,” Jermaine told Billy, saying Michael – a long time sufferer of sleep deprivation – had planned to attend meetings in the Twins Towers that day.” http://bit.ly/qEHzaS
