Security at Nats Park heightened before Sept. 11 game
September 9, 2011 - 09:27 pm
Security procedures at Nats Park will be enhanced this weekend and fans should arrive early to make sure they have enough time to go through the checks, the Nationals said Friday in a news release.
Safety measures will include limiting entry points, comprehensive security checks and vehicle checks, and altered bus stops. No outside beverages or liquids of any kind will be permitted into the ballpark. Food items of any kind are strongly discouraged, the news release said.
Center Field Gates are scheduled to open at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday
Fans traveling to the ballpark should also keep Metro’s track work in mind.
