Suspect sought in Frederick armed robberies
Police are investigating two armed robberies in Frederick.
Authorities say a person was approached by a suspect with a gun in the 1400 block of Key Parkway in Woodlawn Village about 7:50 p.m. Monday. The suspect then fled on foot, with the victim’s cash, before jumping on a red bicycle.
About 30 minutes earlier, police say another robbery was reported in the same located at the Elmwood Terrace Apartments. A suspect walked up to a victim on the third floor stairwell, pointed a gun at them, and demanded money. After finding that the victim didn’t have any cash, he fled.
The suspect in both incidents is described as a thin black male with short curly hair who appeared to be 5'10" tall and between 16-and 17-years-old.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 301-600-2100 or 301-600-TIPS (8477). Callers can remain anonymous.
