Takia Neeley sentenced for 2009 slaying in NE

A 22-year-old woman was sentenced Friday to spend more than 29 years in prison for killing a man in 2009.

Takia Neeley, of Hyattsville, had earlier pleaded guilty in D.C. Superior Court to second degree murder while armed and illegal firearm possession.

Authorities said Neeley shot and killed Jason Liser, 32, on Sept. 13, 2009 at an apartment complex in the 4000 block of Minnesota Avenue NE.
