Fairfax County Fire reports that a tractor trailer driver was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries after a vehicle crash on I-66 Westbound at Route 50.
The tractor-trailer pulling an empty car trailer was eastbound on I-66 in Fairfax County when the car in front of it slowed down and the truck had to swerve to the right in order to avoid hitting the car, authorities said.
When the truck swerved, it struck a guardrail and continued on until it hit a bridge pillar.
The truck driver was transported to Fairfax Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
