Unused dollar coins sit in storage, costing taxpayers millions

The Baltimore Sun reports: A 2005 law requires the Federal Reserve to keep ordering dollar coins, despite the fact that nobody wants them. As a result, the money is being stored in bags in warehouses around the country.
Officials expect the number of dollar coins sitting in storage to grow to $2 billion by 2016.
