Water main break closes portion of Center Street in Manassas

A water main break has closed a portion of Center Street in Manassas, and caused water damage to at least one business in the area.
Crews are working to repair the broken 8-inch main in the 9000 block between Main Street and Zebedee Road. The break occurred around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
That portion of Center Street will remain closed, with traffic being detoured onto Grant Avenue, until 1:30 p.m. while crews repair the roadway.
Water service was affected in the area, but has been restored to most residences except City Hall, Manassas Ice and Fiel, and a few on Zebedee Road.
