Weekend Metro delays: Yellow Line to route into Arlington due to bridge work
The weekend in Metro delays, which start once again Friday night at 10 p.m., include the rerouting of Yellow Line trains on Blue Line tracks to accommodate the inspection of a key rail bridge.
Starting tonight and running through Sunday night, Yellow Line trains will operate between Huntington and Stadium-Armory through Arlington Cemetery and Rosslyn. Workers will be inspecting the bridge over the Potomac River that connects the Pentagon station to L'Enfant Plaza.
Other delays and track work will take place in various places on the Blue, Orange and Red Lines.
On the Blue Line, trains will single-track between Stadium-Armory and Addison Road-Seat Pleasant.
Orange Line delays will come as a result of trains sharing a track between Vienna and West Falls Church.
And on the Red Line, trains will single-track in two places; between Shady Grove and Twinbrook, and between Takoma and Forest Glen.
Riders are reminded to add about 20 minutes to their travel time.
