Will Metro go as far as Quantico?
September 26, 2011 - 06:20 pm
Louise Sipes commutes from her home in Stafford by car to Springfield and then takes Metrorail into work in downtown D.C.
On the way back, however, she can ride the rail only as far as Springfield.
“It's still a drive home,” she says. “I would love to be able to take it all the way to Quantico.”
Prince William County is one of the fastest growing areas in the entire D.C. region.
But right now, you can only ride the rails into Fairfax County. Thousands a day have to hop buses to continue their commute south.
