September 22, 2011 - 05:35 pm
A Rockville woman was hospitalized Thursday afternoon after she was attacked by a pit bull.
It happened shortly after 230pm in the 14000 block of Pellita Terrace.
Montgomery County Police say two women, one with a pit bull were involved in an argument in the 14000 block of Pellita Terrace at about 2:30 p.m.
During the argument, the pit bull attacked the other woman.
Fire officials say the victim suffered serious, but non-life threatening bites to her arms and legs.
She has been transported to a local hospital.
Police say the dog's owner has been cited because the dog did not have its rabies vaccination. The dog will be quarantined for 10 days.
