Woodbridge teens arrested after making death threats, stealing gun
Two teenagers are in custody after being accused of threatening to murder a family member and several other family relatives.
The 16 and 17-year-old suspects were not named, but both are identified as Woodbridge residents. They were arrested Aug. 14 on charges of conspiracy to commit murder and grand larceny of a firearm.
Investigators say they discovered handwritten documents that reportedly indicated a murder plot.
As part of the investigation, Prince William County Police searched a home in the 5600 block of Saint Charles Drive in Woodbridge on a report of a stolen firearm. A family member told authorities that the two teens had stolen a firearm which belonged to them and had made death threats toward her and relatives.
"I am absolutely shocked. She was never any sign of trouble from that house. It just goes to show you, you never really know what goes on behind closed doors," said Neighbor David Cameron.
No acts were carried out and no one was injured.
No court date set yet. Both are held in a juvenile detention facility.
