6 injured in NE crash between Metrobus and backhoe

At least six adults were injured in an collision involving a backhoe and Metrobus in NE D.C. Tuesday afternoon.
The collision at North Capitol Street and M Street on the NE corner involved an 80 route bus headed to Fort Totten at about 3 p.m.
Metro Spokesperson Cathy Asato says the backhoe made contact with the right side of the bus as the bus was passing through a construction area. All
Some of the injured are being treated on scene while some have been taken to area hospitals.
Asato describes all injuries as non-life threatening. The most serious injury was a person with a laceration to the arm.
Cause of crash remains under investigation.
