The indictment states Simpson killed Frazier with "deliberately premeditated malice."

The September slaying sent shockwaves through the Bowie community. Police allege Simpson killed Frazier over music being played over an iPod in the room the two shared.

Simpson is being held at the Prince George's Detention Center without bond. She turned herself in to Prince George's County Police shortly after the slaying.

“I didn’t mean to do it,” Simpson replied after the stabbing, according to charging documents. “You all don’t know what I’ve been thru (sic). You all jumped me.”

Simpson's lawyer indicated during her arraignment that his client will claim self-defense once the trial gets underway.

According to the indictment, Frazier was taking a shower when her Simpson turned down music playing on her iPod. The two got in a fight and several roommates intervened.

Simpson went back to her own bedroom, then returned and confronted 18-year-old Frazier with a weapon, according to the indictment.

The weapon used in the alleged murder has never been found.

Authorities say Frazier, 18, of Washington, D.C., was fatally stabbed in the Christa McAuliffe Residential Community on campus, the school and police say.

Frazier's mother says her daughter had complained about friction with her roommate. Frazier told her mother that she and suspect Simpson argued over roommate related issues .
