Attackers say 'trick or treat,' attempt to steal car
October 30, 2011 - 09:39 am
An attempted carjacking began with three people saying, "trick or treat," police said.
At 7:45 p.m. Saturday, a driver was stopped at a light near the intersection of 13th Street and Arkansas Avenue NW when three men in white masks approached the driver's side window and yelled, "trick or treat."
The driver lowered his window and one of the attackers grabbed his shirt and attempted to open the door while yelling, "Get out of the car, give me your keys."
The driver was able to drive away unharmed and called police. The attackers fled the scene.
Anyone with information is asked to call (888) 919-CRIME.
