C.J. Brown named Maryland Terrapins starter against Florida State
October 18, 2011 - 01:26 pm
The Maryland Terrapins are sticking with C.J. Brown as their starting quarterback for this Saturday's game at Florida State.
College Football Talk reports that Brown, a sophomore, will get the call for the second consecutive week in favor of Danny O'Brien, who started the Terps first five games.
O'Brien, the 2010 ACC Rookie of the Year, was replaced by Brown early in Maryland's 21-16 loss at Georgia Tech on Oct. 8.
Last week, in Maryland's 56-45 loss to Clemson in College Park, Brown passed for 177 yards and three touchdowns and accounted for another 162 yards on the ground and a rushing TD.
