Two of those teams will face off in the City of Brotherly Love on Wednesday night.

Washington and Philadelphia have combined to go 9-0-1 to start the 2011-12 season, primarily on the backs of timely scoring from unlikely sources and strong play in net from newcomers on both teams.

In D.C., Tomas Vokoun has been a boon in the crease. The veteran goaltender has yet to lose a game for the Capitals so far, winning four straight and posting a shutout in the Caps 3-0 win over Florida on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, in Philadelphia, Flyers goalie Ilya Bryzgalov, who the team acquired in a trade from Phoenix during the offseason, has posted a 3-0-1 record and is allowing less than two goals per game.

Philadelphia is coming off a dominating 7-2 victory over Ottawa on Tuesday in which Flyers rookie Matt Read posted a goal and three assists.

The Capitals 5-0-0 start is the franchise's best since the team joined the league in 1974.
