Capitals look to bounce back tonight after first loss
The last NHL team to fall from the ranks of the unbeaten when they lost to Edmonton Thursday, the Capitals look to get back on track Saturday night.
The Southeast Division leaders, who still have the best record in the league at 7-1-0, continue their road trip against Vancouver in a late game that starts at 10 p.m..
The Canucks have struggled to start the season after losing to Boston in the Stanley Cup finals. They're 4-5-1 having given up the opening goal eight times in 10 games and have held the lead going into the third period just once.
Toronto visits Pittsburgh in a match-up of division leaders. The surprising Maple Leafs top the Northeast Division are led by NHL scoring leader Phil Kessel, who has 9 goals and 16 points.
Pittsburgh has won five in a row which has allowed them to open an early 7-point lead at the top of the Atlantic Division.
The Los Angeles Kings are the only team in the league without a regular season road loss this season. They put that mark to the test when they visit Phoenix tonight.
