Columbus Day weekend Metro delays impact Green, Orange, Yellow Lines
Major station closures will impact travel on several lines of Metro during the upcoming extended Columbus Day weekend.
The Green, Orange and Yellow Lines will all see buses replace trains in several places in D.C. and Northern Virginia.
On the Green and Orange Lines, the Shaw-Howard, U Street/Cardozo and Columbia Heights stations will all be shuttered from 10 p.m. Friday through the system's closing on Monday night.
Buses will replace trains for those three stations. Trains will continue to run between Greenbelt and Georgia Avenue/Petworth, and Mt. Vernon Square and Branch Avenue/Huntington.
On the Orange Line, buses will replace trains between East and West Falls Church between Friday night and Monday night.
Riders are advised to add 30 minutes to their travel time.
