D.C. tax return deadline extended

The Office of Tax and Revenue has extended the deadline for submitting personal income tax returns by two days.
The last day for filing D.C. tax returns is now October 17.
The usual deadline, October 15, falls on a Saturday. The extension gives residents the option to file on the following business day.
This year, the OTR is urging taxpayers to file electronically to avoid errors and to receive refunds quicker.
