Gary Giordano detention hearing scheduled

Gary Giordano, the suspect in the disappearance of Robyn Gardner in Aruba, will have a detention hearing Friday, CNN reports.
A decision on whether to release the 50-year-old American will be announced Friday.
Giordano is being held on suspicion of involvement in the presumed death of 35-year-old Gardner of Frederick.
Her body has not been found. Giordano denies wrongdoing and says Gardner was swept out to sea while snorkeling.
A judge previously rejected a previous appeal of his detention order. Prosecutors plan to seek to extend the order when it expires later this month.
