Girls report suspicious incident in Oakton after attempted abduction

Two teenagers reported incidents similar to last week's attempted abduction in Oakton. Both incidents took place on Blake Lane days apart.
It’s unclear whether the incidents are related, but many residents are concerned.
At Oakton High School, students and their parents received a warning.
“They sent an e-mail to the parents and students warning about the whole incident,” said junior Lauren Embroski.
That initial incident involved a 16-year-old girl who was nearly abducted on her way to school nearly a week ago, police say.
The girl reported being grabbed by a man as she walked to school along Blake Lane on Oct. 12 around 6:30 a.m. She told police she was approaching the intersection of Palmer Street when she noticed a man standing on the sidewalk in front of her. The man grabbed her and attempted to force her into his car, but she was able to break free and run.
Last Friday afternoon, two girls walking home from Oakton High told police a man used the same ploy to engage them. Since they heard about what happened with their schoolmate, they yelled at him and took off.
“I think the girl was smart about screaming and running. It's crazy, it's scary,” Lauren Embroski said.
“I am very concerned about it a lot of kids walk up and down Blake Lane, Germantown road, they’re on their way to school in the dark in the morning,” said parent Pauk Embroski.
In last week’s incident, the suspect was described as possibly Hispanic, in his early to mid-20s, 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build, and short, black hair. He had an eyebrow piercing and two piercings in his left ear. He was wearing blue jeans and a short-sleeve shirt.
The suspect's vehicle was described as a white, four-door, sub-compact, with a "Baby-on-board" sign on the driver's side.
