Horace Pendergrass, Fairfax County firefighter, dies

A Fairfax County firefighter has died at a firehouse Saturday morning.
The firefighter, 49-year-old Horace Pendergrass, was found in the bunkroom of Station 41 in the 9600 block of Hampton Road at about 8:30 a.m.
Pendergrass is a 20-plus year veteran of the Fairfax County fire department. He is originally from Chesapeake, Va.
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Spokesperson Captain Willie Bailey says the death remains under investigation but there is nothing suspicious about the death.
