Hoyas dominate Howard
WASHINGTON (AP) - Georgetown scored 14 points in the fourth quarter to beat Howard 21-3 on Saturday.
With the Hoyas leading 7-3 early in the fourth quarter, Jeff Burke capped off a 12-play, 81-yard Georgetown (5-2) drive with an 8-yard touchdown pass to Tucker Stafford to make it 14-3.
Isaiah Kempf's 4-yard pass to Wilburn Logan gave Georgetown a 21-3 lead late in the fourth quarter, putting the game out of reach for Howard.
Kempf recorded 162 all-purpose yards, tallying 65 yards on the ground while passing for 97 yards and a touchdown. Georgetown's rushing attack gained 223 yards and helped the Hoyas keep possession for 34:38 compared to just 25:04 for Howard (3-4).
Andrew Schaetzke recorded a sack for Georgetown and moved into fourth place all time in Hoyas history with 23.5 sacks.
The Hoyas continued their success in the red zone, scoring touchdowns on three of four trips.
