Man charged with burglarizing 7 Express store in Frederick
A man was arrested wearing the same merchandise he was alleged to have stolen hours earlier in Frederick, police said.
John Thomas Dennie, 40, was charged with theft, second degree burglary and destruction of property.
At 12:40 a.m., Frederick Police responded to a commercial burglary alarm at a 7 Express Store in the 400 block of E. Patrick St.
The front door of the store had been smashed with a brick and officers found that a man had entered the store and taken cash and merchandise.
A very detailed description of the man was obtained through the store's video surveillance.
About 4:30 a.m., Frederick Police Officer Keith Donovan located a man matching the description of the burglary suspect at the bus stop in front of the MARC Station on S. East St.
Donovan stopped the man and verified he was wearing the exact same clothing as the man in the video. The man was arrested and some of the suspected stolen merchandise was recovered.
