Bob Cory McNeely shot, killed in Alexandria

Alexandria police are searching for the gunman who shot and killed a 40-year-old man in the street overnight.

Officers found the man in the 1200 block of Wythe Street around 10:10 p.m. Thursday. He was shot in the upper body and died at the hospital.

The victim has been identified as as Bob Cory McNeely, 40, of Alexandria City.

Police do not have a motive or know what led to the shooting.
