Maryland hosts minority health disparities conference

HYATTSVILLE, Md. (AP) - Maryland's health department is sponsoring the state's annual minority health disparities conference.
The eighth annual conference, which is being co-sponsored by the University of Maryland School of Public Health and the Hopkins Center for Health Disparities Solutions, is being held Tuesday in Hyattsville.
The conference aims to promote diversity and reduce health disparities.
Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown is scheduled to attend. Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Secretary Joshua Sharfstein also is scheduled to attend the conference.
