The briefing on actions directed by the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure Commission is set for Monday morning in Crownsville.

Actions prompted by the BRAC commission were completed Sept. 15.

Aberdeen Proving Ground, Fort Meade, Joint Base Andrews and Fort Detrick are among the installations that expanded as a result of the panel's decisions.

The state Department of Business and Economic Development says it expects the state to gain another 30,000 to 40,000 jobs as defense contractors and businesses serving the military workers set up shop nearby.
