Mshairi Alkebular sentenced for Easter Monday stabbing at National Zoo

A 16-year-old was sentenced to nearly seven years in prison today for the Easter Monday stabbing of another teen at the National Zoo, the United States Attorney's Office said.
Mshairi Alkebular attacked a 14-year-old on April 25, 2011 at the zoo, located in the 3000 block of Connecticut Avenue NW.
Alkebular plead guilty in June 2011 and was charged as an adult with assault with a dangerous weapon and carrying a dangerous weapon.
