MTA to hold meetings on Purple Line plans
Residents will get the chance to weigh in on plans for a Purple Line.
The Maryland Transportation Authority is planning four meetings in November, Greater Greater Washington first reported. The 16-mile rail line from Bethesda to New Carrollton in Prince George's County is meant to "provide faster, more reliable transit service," the MTA says on its website.
The Federal Transit Administration gave the project the go-ahead earlier this month, which means construction plans and environmental impact will now be laid out in more detail.
