A Metropolitan police officer was injured in a traffic crash Sunday in Southeast, police said.
About 5:15 p.m., two officers were traveling in a cruiser with their lights and siren activated when a four-door Ford sedan collided with them near the intersection of Alabama Avenue SE and 7th Street SE, police said.
Both officers and the driver of the sedan were taken to an area hospital and treated and released for minor injuries, said MPD spokesman Araz Alali.
