Police look for suspect in shooting, car crash in Waldorf

Police are searching for a person involved in a shooting and car crash on Saturday in Waldorf, Md., police said.
On October 15 at 2:36 p.m., police responded to a car crash the area of St. Charles Parkway and Gallery Place, police said.
Two vehicles--a Ford F150 and a BMW--had crashed into a tree.
A 39-year-old man was lying unconscious on the ground. It was determined he had been the driver of the truck and had been ejected.
The driver of the BMW fled prior to police arrival.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors learned he had a gunshot wound to the right side of his face. He was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators say the case is not random.
