Prince George's County McDonald's robberies under investigation
Prince George's County Police are searching for the suspects they believe are responsible for robbing two McDonald's in Camp Springs and Ft. Washington in the past week.
Authorities say that the two robberies, the most recent of which occurred early Monday morning, may be connected, but that there is nothing linking them together at this point.
“People are eating dinner, people are coming home from work, it’s just bad,” said Patricia Eikenberg, a Howard County resident. “They should do something.”
The first robbery took place at the McDonald's in the 7100 block of Allentown Road in Camp Springs on Oct. 11 at about 5 p.m. The suspects made off with about $270.
The suspects hit the second McDonald's early Monday morning at the location at 996 E. Swan Creek Rd. in Ft. Washington. Authorities said the suspects made off with about $2,000.
“We haven't positively linked them together but the information we have is leading investigators to believe they were committed by the same suspects,” said Corporal Henry Tippett of the Prince George's County Police.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Solvers. A $1,000 reward is being offered.
