Ralph Nader proposes general strike
October 12, 2011 - 05:50 pm
Former presidential candidate Ralph Nader is calling for business owners in the city to allow their employees to report late to work at the beginning of every month as part of a citywide strike.
That idea announced in front of Mayor Vincent Gray Wednesday.
In such a limited general strike, employees would report late to work in protest, with their employers’ approval, until D.C. is granted statehood.
