Rex Grossman should remain as Redskins cornerback, Santana Moss says
October 17, 2011 - 01:40 pm
ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — Count Santana Moss among those who would like to see Rex Grossman continue as the Washington Redskins starting quarterback.
The veteran receiver made the case for Grossman on Monday, a day after Grossman was benched in a loss to Philadelphia.
Grossman threw four interceptions during the 20-13 defeat and was replaced by John Beck in the fourth quarter.
Coach Mike Shanahan must now decide whether Grossman or Beck will start next week at Carolina.
Moss makes no bones about where he stands. He says there's "no question" Grossman should keep the job and that "you just can't give up on somebody because they had a bad outing."
