Rodney Gunsauley facing gun charges in Arlington weapons case
A 61-year-old man is now facing gun charges in connection with an incident last week where weapons were found buried along I-66.
Rodney Gunsauley is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The weapons found last week reportedly include a military style machine gun and PVC pipes -- located just down the street from Swanson Elementary.
As part of an investigation, dozens of FBI agents searched a home along 17th Street North in the Cherrydale section of Arlington Thursday night.
Authorities, with flashlights in hand, scoured the grounds outside while boxing up evidence inside.
An FBI spokesperson says specialized teams, including SWAT teams and the Arlington County bomb squad were called in to help.
According to neighbors, agents appeared to be focused on a basement apartment of a multi-unit home.
