Saudi couple Maryam Masaad Almutiri, Wafy Abdullah Almutiri facing neglect charges

A Saudi couple is charged in Fairfax County Court with felony child neglect in connection with the drowning of their 1-year-old daughter.
- Maryam Almutiri and Wafy Almutiri
Facing charges are the mother, 21-year-old Maryam Masaad Almutiri and her husband, 27- year-old Wafy Abdullah Almutiri.
Both have been booked in the Adult Detention Center.
Fairfax County Police contend that on September 18th, 1-year-old Wreef Wafy Almutri had been left alone in the bathtub of her parents room at the Westin Reston Heights.
It's alleged the parents were out of the room and elsewhere in the hotel. The couple had just moved to the D.C. area from Saudi Arabia.
