Sean McGlone, off-duty Fairfax police officer, arrested for DUI

An off-duty Fairfax County police officer was arrested for DWI early Monday morning after crashing a vehicle, police said.

The officer, Sean McGlone, 41, was the only person in his vehicle when he struck a utility pole on Zion Drive near Grovewood Way.

McGlone wasn’t injured. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated and taken to the Fairfax County jail.

He has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation into the incident.
