Serious crash on I-270 shuts down lanes, exit to Middlebrook Road in Germantown
8:19 p.m.: Six people were injured, two categorized as traumas, in a serious accident on I-270 North at Middlebrook Rd. that temporarily closed all but one lane and the exit to Germantown Sunday night.
The other 4 patients were taken to area hospitals with minor injuries, Montgomery Fire Spokesperson Assistant Chief Scott Graham tells ABC7. Graham did not know how many cars were involved.
All lanes have now reopened.
7:53 p.m.: Accident now only blocks 1 right lane on northbound I-270. The three left lanes and the exit for Middlebrook Rd have reopened.
7:22 p.m.: Maryland State Highway officials report a serious crash at I-270 North at Middlebrook Rd. Only the left lane remains open.
The exit for Middlebrook Road from I-270 N is closed as well.
