Suspect sought in armed robbery of mentally challenged man in Frederick

Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a 24-year-old mentally challenged man at gun point in Frederick.
The suspect is described as a black man, about 5’5” tall, with corn rows and a beard. He was said to be wearing a grey sweat suit.
Frederick police say the victim was approached by the suspect in a park on Amber Drive. The suspect then said he had a gun, and fled with the victim’s cash. No injuries were reported.
Officers canvassed the area, but came up with nothing. Anyone with information is asked to call 301-600-2100, or anonymously at 301-600-8477.
