October 31, 2011 - 10:24 am
Three workers were rescued from the 8th and 9th floors of a high rise building when a scaffold on which they were working collapsed, officials said.
At 9:38 a.m., Montgomery County Fire and Rescue responded to 6001 Montrose Road in Rockville where three workers were hanging from a safety rope system.
The scaffold the workers were using had collapsed. An aerial ladder truck positioned itself below the workers and at 9:53 a.m., the three were rescued, officials said.
No information was immediately available on the condition of the workers or why the scaffold collapsed.
